    RADIOGRAPHY PROGRAM

    REACH HIGHER WITH RADIOGRAPHY TRAINING

    Whether you are looking to prepare for a new career as a radiologic technologist or want to further your education with supplemental training, CTAE’s radiography program can help you achieve your goals in this in-demand field.

    Graduates of this program are eligible for licensure in Florida as Certified Radiologic Technologists and can apply for admission to the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.)

    CAREER COURSES:

    HSC 0003H Basic Healthcare Worker
    The course is designed as an introduction to healthcare including communication, legal and ethical responsibilities, safety, infection control, CPR, First Aid and HIV/AIDS training.
     
    RTE 0070 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Fundamentals of Radiologic Technology, Radiographic Procedures I and Image Production I as well as Clinical Education I.
     
    RTE 0071 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Radiographic Procedures II, Image Production II as well as Clinical Education II.
     
    RTE 0072 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Directed Research, Radiographic Procedures III and Clinical Education III.
     
    RTE 0073 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Advanced Clinical Education IV, and V.
     
    RTE 0074 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Advanced Clinical Education VI, Radiation Physics I and Radiographic Pathology.
     
    RTE 0075 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Radiation Physics II and Advanced Clinical Education VII.
     
    RTE 0076 Radiologic Technologist
    This course includes Radiobiology, Radiography Seminar and Advanced Clinical Education VII.

    PROGRAM LENGTH:

    2,700 hours, 90 weeks

    ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Graduation from an accredited high school with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA) in math and science courses.
    2. Completion of the following prerequisite college-level courses with a minimum 2.5 GPA and no lower than a “C” in any given course:
      • a. College Composition
      • b. College Algebra
      • c. Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab
      • d. Anatomy and Physiology II with Lab
      • d. Social/Behavioral Science
      • e. Humanities/Fine Arts
