    NURSING ASSISTANT PROGRAM (CNA)

    CNA TRAINING FOR CAREER ACHIEVEMENT

    Study at CTAE to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Our program prepares students for careers as nursing assistants, nursing aides, orderlies and nurse’s aides in nursing homes. Once the program’s requirements are met, students receive a Certificate of Completion in Nurse Assisting. Students who successfully pass the state exam earn CNA certification from the Department of Health.

    Course:

    PRN 0090 Nurse Aide and Orderly OCP A
    This course includes, but is not limited to, basic math and science skills, communication, legal and ethical responsibilities, emergency care, anatomy and physiology, safety, personal patient care, principles of nutrition, care of the geriatric patient, infection control, social support, rehabilitative activities, employability, and blood borne diseases.

    Program Length:

    120 Hours, 10 Weeks

    Admission Requirements:

    Standard career and technical program admission procedures apply. Students must also attend an information session and are responsible for uniforms and additional requirements applicable to the program. CTAE recommends students in this program have a high school diploma or GED.
