    MASSAGE THERAPY CLASSES & TRAINING

    MASTER MASSAGE WITH CTAE TRAINING

    The Message Therapy program gives students the training and skills they need to become licensed massage therapists. Students who complete the program earn a Certificate of Completion for Message Therapy and prepared to take the national examination. After passing the examination from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and, students may apply for licensure through the Florida Department of Health, Board of Massage Therapy to begin their new careers.

    COURSES:

    HSC 0003 Basic Healthcare Worker
    This course is designed as an introduction to healthcare including communication, legal and ethical responsibilities, safety, infection control, CPR, First Aide and HIV/AIDS training.
     
    MSS 0205 Massage Therapist (1 of 2)
    This course includes theories and techniques of massage, hydrotherapy, safety and hygiene in the practice of massage as well as clinical practicum.
     
    MSS 0206 Massage Therapist (2 of 2)
    This course includes Florida Laws and rules, anatomy and physiology, business practice, allied modalities, and clinical practicum.

    PROGRAM LENGTH:

    750 Hours, 43 weeks

    ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

    Standard Career and Technical program admission procedures apply; high school or GED diploma; attend an information session and uniforms and additional requirements applicable to program.
